Arendt & Medernach advised InfraRed Capital Partners (“InfraRed”) on the acquisition of Proximus Luxembourg Infrastructure (“PLI”) for EUR 108 million from Proximus Group.
PLI is the first independent tower company in Luxembourg. It owns and manages 267 mobile tower assets, thus supporting significant mobile operations of, among others, Proximus Luxembourg conducted under the Tango and Proximus NXT brands. Proximus Luxembourg will remain an anchor tenant on the respective sites under a long-term master service agreement.
InfraRed is a leading global infrastructure asset manager with USD 13 billion assets under management and over 25 years of experience investing across a range of essential infrastructure assets. Following this acquisition, InfraRed intends to support PLI’s further growth as the leading independent telecommunications infrastructure business in Luxembourg by leveraging the expertise of the current management team to expand the tower portfolio in response to growing demand.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
