Lakestar completes business combination with HomeToGo
Arendt & Medernach has assisted Lakestar SPAC I SE in relation to the business combination with HomeToGo GmbH
DEAL – SPAC – de-SPAC
Luxembourg, 21 September 2021 – Arendt & Medernach has assisted Lakestar SPAC I SE, a SPAC sponsored by Lakestar Founder and Chairman Dr. Klaus Hommels, with a range of Luxembourg tax, corporate and capital markets matters. This assistance helped facilitate a business combination with HomeToGo GmbH, the first Luxembourg-domiciled European SPAC to list in Frankfurt, and the first de-SPAC among listed European SPACs.
The transaction closed on 21 September 2021 by way of contribution of all shares of HomeToGo into Lakestar SPAC I SE in exchange for new public shares.
