Arendt advised Blue Owl, the US-based alternative asset manager, on the Luxembourg law aspects of the final closing of the Blue Owl Real Estate European Net Lease Fund (OREF Europe), the group’s first fund dedicated to European net lease real estate.
The fund closed at €1.6 billion in aggregate capital commitments — exceeding its initial €1 billion target, as well as the €1.5 billion hard cap set ahead of closing. OREF Europe is structured through Blue Owl Real Estate European Net Lease Master Fund SCSp RAIF, a Luxembourg reserved alternative investment fund established as a special limited partnership, with its registered office in Bertrange and Carne Global Fund Managers (Luxembourg) acting as alternative investment fund manager.
The fund attracted capital from public and private pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers, foundations and family offices across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
Arendt acted as Luxembourg legal counsel on the structuring, fund raising and final closing of the fund.
