UCITS 2022 webinar series – UCITS Delegation and Oversight – legal and operational aspects, points to watch out and some tips

This webinar will cover the legal and operational aspects of the delegation and oversight of delegates, with a particular emphasis on delegation of portfolio management. The speakers will outline briefly the CSSF approval process for new delegates. They will further share some practical insight on points to watch out for when considering a delegation of portfolio management versus appointment of an investment advisor or implementing a multimanager model, including the Luxembourg MiFID considerations, fee arrangements and prospectus disclosure. They will then go on to provide some tips on the onboarding and ongoing supervision of delegates (initial due diligence, ongoing due diligence and ongoing monitoring), required policies and processes and insights concerning CSSF expectations with regards to delegation agreements, based on their broad overview of the market practice and the remedial work on findings from CSSF’s inspections.
