Senior Associate

Charles Cahoua is a Senior Associate in the Banking & Financial Services practice of Arendt & Medernach.

He advises (re)insurance companies, banks, intermediaries, investment firms and other financial industry actors on a range of regulatory matters, including authorisation requests, corporate governance,  and on-site inspections. In parallel, Charles also assists clients in the drafting and review of contractual documentation relating to financial transactions as well as financial products.

Charles has developed particular expertise in the insurance and reinsurance sector relating to the implementation of Solvency II, IDD and AML/CFT regulations. More broadly, he advises clients in the banking and investment sectors with respect to CRD/CRR and MiFID regulations.

Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach in 2022, Charles gained four years’ experience in the banking & finance department of another leading Luxembourg law firm.

He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2019.

Charles holds a Master’s in Insurance Law from the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas (France).
