Simone Baier is a Counsel in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach, focussing on alternative assets (Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure et al.).
She advises clients on the legal, corporate and regulatory aspects of private equity fund formation and related transactional work. She focusses on the structuring and setting-up of regulated and unregulated private equity, real estate, infrastructure and venture capital investment vehicles and the structuring and financing of the holding structures through which assets are held. She advises international asset managers in particular. Her areas of expertise further include corporate law where she advised major international companies with respect to their Luxembourg structures.
- She frequented the Deutsch-Französische Magisterstudiengang (DFM) and holds a Master’s degree in law from the University Paris I/Sorbonne (France), an LL.M from the University Paris I/Sorbonne (France) and Cologne (Germany) as well as the first and the second state examination in law of the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich (Germany).
- She has been admitted to the Frankfurt Bar (Germany) and to the Luxembourg bar association (list IV).
- Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach in 2008, she worked as a consultant to German investors in Portugal.
