Cristina de la Puente Puigjaner is a Senior Associate in the Finance & Capital Markets practice of Arendt & Medernach.
She specialises in structured finance and fund finance transactions, including subscription facilities, GP and NAV financings, and leveraged finance and refinancings.
Cristina runs transactions end-to-end, working on complex cross-border matters. She also advises on security structures, including enforcement strategies and risk mitigation.
- Cristina has an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham University School of Law (US) (Fulbright Scholarship).
- She also has an LL.M. in Law from IE Law School (Spain).
- She has a dual Bachelor’s in Law and Business Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Spain).
- She has been a member of the Madrid Bar (ICAM) since 2021.
- Before joining Arendt & Medernach in 2023, Cristina gained two years of experience as an associate in the Banking & Finance practice of a leading international law firm in Spain, advising financial institutions and corporate entities on debt financing, restructurings and high-yield bond issuances. She also completed a legal internship at an international financial institution, gaining exposure to public international law and multilateral development finance.
