Laura is a Counsel in the Finance & Capital Markets practice of Arendt & Medernach.

She specialises in the fields of securitisation, financing and sustainable finance.

Laura has significant experience structuring both public and private securitisation transactions and related issuance of debt instruments. She is well versed in credit enhancement mechanisms, and in both Luxembourg securitisation law and EU securitisation legislation. She is a member of the securitisation working groups of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and the Luxembourg Capital Markets Association (LuxCMA).

Laura also assists international clients with various types of financing, including real estate and asset finance, with a focus on fund financing. Before honing her financing specialisation, Laura spent three years as part of Arendt & Medernach’s Investment Fund team, where she advised on the set-up, organisation and marketing of Luxembourg investment funds. She authored an article entitled “Subscription Facilities in Luxembourg: Overview of a Decade of Legal Practice” published by the Luxembourg Banking and Financial Law Association (ALJB) in 2022 and won the ALJB prize for another piece of writing the following year.

Laura is also part of the Arendt team that helps credit institutions implement European and Luxembourg environmental, social and governance (ESG) rules and regulations. She has appeared before the executive committees of major banks and provided training to hundreds of private bankers. She is on the LuxCMA sub-committee working on sustainable finance.

Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach in 2012, Laura worked as an intern at the French Supreme Court and at renowned Paris law firms.

Laura holds a Master’s in Business Law (Master 2 en Droit des affaires) from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas (France). To boost her financial skills, in 2019 she completed a finance training programme for Arendt lawyers given by HEC Liege (Belgium) and in 2023, she obtained an INSEAD certificate in finance. She is a member of the Paris Bar and is admitted to the Luxembourg Bar to practice in Luxembourg under her French professional title.
