Guillaume Foillard is a Counsel in the Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions practice of Arendt & Medernach. He advises national and multinational corporations, including listed companies and private equity firms, in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, complex international corporate restructurings, corporate finance and transactional business law. He also advises regularly on corporate governance matters.

  • Guillaume holds a Master’s in Business Law and a Master’s in Banking and Financial Law from Université Paris 2-Panthéon-Assas (France). In addition, he has a Master’s in Business and Tax Law from Université Paris 1-Panthéon-Sorbonne/HEC Paris (France).

  • He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2015 and the Luxembourg Bar since 2020. He is a member of the Luxembourg Banking and Financial Law (ALJB), the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA) and the French Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

  • Guillaume Foillard is an M&A and private equity lawyer with more than 11 years of experience, including 5 years practising in Paris at a top ranked American law firm and 6 years in Luxembourg at a leading international law firm. He has advised listed companies, major industrial groups, financial institutions, asset managers and family offices on high stakes corporate matters, including strategic acquisitions, divestments, reorganisations, capital markets transactions and public-private partnerships.
  • He has also been seconded as senior in house counsel to the global headquarters of a major industrial group in Luxembourg and to the global legal function of a major asset manager in Switzerland, where he handled transactional matters, governance issues and strategic partnership projects.
