Alexandre Durand is a Counsel in the Tax Law practice at Arendt & Medernach.
He specialises in both national and international tax structuring for corporate entities, as well as regulated and unregulated investment funds (private equity, real estate, infrastructure and debt funds). He advises funds on set-up, specific investments and operational issues, such as carried interest and fee structuring.
He also has expertise in assisting sponsors with the formation and raising of alternative investment funds (AIFs).
- After earning a Bachelor’s in International Business from the University of Hull (UK), Alexandre graduated with an LL.M. in Law & Tax Management and a Master’s in Management – Programme Grande Ecole from EDHEC Business School (France).
- He has a Master’s in Corporate/Tax Law from the Université Catholique de Lille (France).
- He also has a post-graduate degree in Luxembourg Tax.
- He is a member of the Luxembourg Bar.
- Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach in 2022, Alexandre gained significant experience in Luxembourg in the tax department of a Big Four firm and at a major independent tax firm, where he mainly advised on regulated and unregulated real estate investment structures, holding and financing activities and cross-border corporate reorganisations.
