Arendt advises BlackFin Capital Partners, with the acquisition of Lemanik Asset Management S.A., a Luxembourg-based third-party investment fund manager overseeing €30bn in assets

Arendt & Medernach S.A. supported the European private equity firm BlackFin Capital Partners, which focuses on financial services investments in the successful acquisition of Lemanik Asset Management, a Luxembourg-based third-party investment fund manager. We assisted on various aspects including corporate law, regulatory, finance, tax law and employment law.

Lemanik AM manages over €30bn in assets and provides services to small and mid-sized asset managers from 25 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and Middle East. The company stated that BlackFin would support Lemanik AM in the development of its value proposition to small and mid-sized asset managers as an independent provider, while also considering further acquisitions of independent management companies and specialised divisions of asset managers and banks.

The transaction was approved by the Luxembourg supervisory authority (CSSF) and finalised on 28 February 2025.
