Burak Aytaç is a Senior Associate in the Finance & Capital Markets practice of Arendt. He specialises in securities law and in capital markets and stock exchange regulation, advising on both debt and equity capital markets transactions. He advises clients on debt issuance programs, consent solicitations, exchange offers, equity offerings and Luxembourg regulations on prospectuses, transparency and market abuse, as well as applications for listing and admission to trading and related ongoing obligations.

Burak advises asset managers, infrastructure and energy companies, real estate groups, technology firms, gaming businesses, pharmaceutical companies and SPACs across Europe, the US and Asia on equity transactions (IPOs, SPACs, de-SPAC transactions, regulatory advice), debt transactions (notes issuances, securitisations, structured financing, programme listings) and financing transactions (loan structuring and documentation, Luxembourg collateral arrangements).

  • He has a Master’s in Law (LL.M. Finance) from the Institute for Law and Finance, Goethe University (Germany).
  • He also has a Bachelor’s in Law (LL.B.) from Galatasaray University (Turkey).

  • Burak has been a member of the Istanbul Bar since 2018 and a member of the Luxembourg Bar (Liste II) since 2025.

  • Before joining Arendt & Medernach, Burak spent five months as a legal intern in the Capital Markets & Equity department of a global food delivery technology company in Berlin (Germany).
  • Prior to that, he was an Associate at a nationally recognised law firm in Istanbul (Turkey) for almost two years, where he focused on banking and finance, capital markets, M&A due diligence, IP disputes and corporate compliance for clients in Europe, the US and Asia. He also worked for over a year as a Legal Intern and Associate at another nationally recognised law firm in Istanbul, gaining experience in general litigation, contract drafting and corporate matters.
