Navigating CRD VI — from transposition of the Directive to market reality

In collaboration with the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL), the Partners of Arendt are honoured to invite you to the very first industry-wide conference on the upcoming implementation in Luxembourg of the 6th EU Capital Requirements Directive (CRD VI) and its impact on Luxembourg-based credit institutions.
CRD VI is widely expected to be a major regulatory development in 2026 as it introduces a number of changes for Luxembourg-based banks and also profoundly affects how non-EU banks may access the EU market going forward. With implementation in Luxembourg now entering its final stage, this conference aims to shed the first light on the main developments. While the scope of CRD VI is very broad, this conference will focus on the new governance-related aspects, the new regulatory notification/approval process for material operations and the new third-country branch regulatory regime, using practical presentations and panel discussion with industry experts.
The conference takes place at Arendt House on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a networking cocktail.
