Fouzia Benyahia is a Counsel in the Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions practice of Arendt & Medernach.
She specialises in venture capital and corporate law, advising multinational companies, financial institutions, private equity and real estate funds on the structuring, financing and implementation of domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, leveraged buy-outs, corporate reorganisations and refinancing. Recently, she has been tasked with assisting various regulated entities and companies in the context of Brexit and advising on restructurings for recovery in the context of Covid-19 pandemic.
She has been a member of the Paris Bar and the Luxembourg Bar since 2013.
From October 2015 to April 2017, Fouzia was seconded to Arendt & Medernach’s representative office in New York, where she advised US and Canadian clients on corporate law, corporate finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions. She was also seconded to Arendt & Medernach’s representative office in Paris in 2019 for one year, where she provided assistance to key actors within the French market.
Fouzia is currently serving as co-chairman of the Young Private Equity Leaders/YPEL sub-group of the legal committee of the LPEA.
Fouzia holds a Master II in Litigation, a Master II in Business and Tax Law and a Corporate Jurist Diploma (DJCE) from the University of Nancy 2 (France), as well as a certificate of specialisation in business and corporate law from the University of Montpellier 1 (France).
