Looking for the clouds, an exhibition in the frame of the European Month of Photography (EMOP), on view at Arendt House from 26 April 2017, every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Arendt & Medernach is pleased to present the works ofthe artists:

-Samuel Gratacap (winner of the EMOP Arendt Award 2017)

-Daniel Mayrit

-Panos Tsagaris

-Aida Silvestri

-Jure Kastelic

Observing the movement of the clouds or the flight of birds has traditionally been a way of predicting the future. Looking for the clouds refers to the anxiety of those who scan the sky, haunted by drones and other machines for surveillance or destruction, but it also hints at the mingled hopes and fears of those who are searching for a better life, migrants especially.

The European Month of Photography was created in 2004 organised by the European House of Photography (Maison Européenne de la Photographie - MEP) in Paris and its director Jean-Luc Monterosso. It is a network of institutions dealing with photography located in eight European capitals (Athens, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Luxembourg, Paris, Vienna).

The jury members are Michaela Bosakova (Ljubljana), Berthold Ecker (Vienne), Jean-Luc Soret (Paris) and Manolis Moresopoulos (Athens) coordinated by Paul di Felice (Luxembourg), the exhibition curator.
