Anna Krieps

Anna Krieps graduated in “Photography and Media Art” from the Art Institute of Visual Arts (Netherlands) in 2012 and obtained a Master’s degree in “Art Direction” at the ECAL in Lausanne. In her photographs, she plays on the relationship between fiction and reality, often based on autobiographical elements. She did a photographic series with her actress sister Vicky Krieps in the role of an astronaut in unusual situations, who embodies the character freely in a poetic way.

She has been selected for the platform “Revelations-portfolio” in the framework of the European Month of Photography in 2015.

In the frame of the exhibition “An Image is an Image is an Image”:

Anna Krieps highlights the relation between fiction and reality in the series “Cosmic Dream” through the appropriation of the figure of the cosmonaut and all kind of narratives linked to space questions.
