Valérie Braun is a Senior Associate in the Business Crime practice of Arendt & Medernach. She specialises in business crime offences, including fraud and breach of trust, corporate offences (such as misuse of company assets, theft, fraudulent bankruptcy, corruption, influence peddling and illegal interest taking) and banking offences, including professional secrecy issues.
Valérie advises domestic and international clients at all levels, particularly from the banking, financial, industrial and commercial sectors. She acts for clients who are suspects, defendants, victims of crime or interested third parties.
She joined Arendt & Medernach in 2018.
- Valérie holds a Master’s in Private Law from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France), a Master’s in French and German Business law from Universität zu Köln (Germany)/ Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France) and an LL.M. in IP & Information Law from King’s College London (UK).
- Valérie was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2019 and is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association.
- She has been nominated as Representative for Luxembourg on the Criminal Law Committee of the CCBE (Conseil des barreaux européens).
