Francisco Torrens Bermo is a Senior Associate in the Banking & Financial Services and Insurance & Reinsurance Law practices of Arendt & Medernach.
He advises banks, investment firms, insurance and reinsurance undertakings, as well as all other professionals of the financial sector, on regulatory, civil, commercial and administrative law matters. He has particular expertise in licensing and governance requirements, mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector, rules of conduct (including MiFID and IDD), AML/CFT compliance, capital requirements (including CRD/CRR) and all aspects of interactions with the financial sector supervisory authorities.
Francisco also specialises in Fintech, crypto-assets and DLT-related banking and financial services, and assists institutional clients with regulatory investigations and litigation cases in the financial sector.
- Francisco holds a Master’s in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law and Economics from Utrecht University (Netherlands).
