Alexandre Lacaze is a Director at Arendt Regulatory & Consulting (ARC). Based in the Paris office, Alexandre focuses on developing relationships within the French market.

Throughout his career, Alexandre has supported asset management professionals at every stage of their life cycle (distribution, management, reporting, compliance, etc.), advising them on organisational and governance issues, regulatory compliance and operational and non-compliance risk management, as well as ongoing controls.

He also works on regulatory and operational challenges related to ESG and responsible investment.

He advises both clients implementing vanilla investment strategies and those specialising in real assets (private equity, real estate) and structured management.

  • Alexandre graduated from EDHEC Business School (France) and has a Master’s in Banking and Financial Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas (France).
  • Alexandre also obtained the Certificate of Aptitude for the Legal Profession (CAPA) from the Paris Bar School, as well as the AMF examination certifications of Minimum Knowledge and Sustainable Finance.

  • Alexandre began his career in 2004 at the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (the French financial markets authority, AMF), where he was responsible for the licensing and supervision of French asset management companies.
  • Alexandre then held various positions within the asset management industry, including serving as Head of Legal and Compliance for the wealth management subsidiary of an international insurance group.
  • In addition, Alexandre worked for several consulting firms specialising in asset management and compliance. Notably, he established and developed the Compliance & Regulation practice of an international consulting firm, where he led projects on regulatory implementation (MiFID II, PRIIPs, SFDR, etc.), operational transformation (target operating model design), and the implementation of compliance frameworks (support, tool selection, risk mapping design, etc.).
