About the training session

Objectives

At the end of this training, the participants will have an overview of Luxembourg Generally Accepted Accounting principles applicable to entities not ruled by specific sectoral provisions as well as of the related accepted valuation methods. The participants will also have an overview of the main difference between Lux GAAP and IFRS.

Part I – Introduction to Lux GAAP

  • General principles under Lux GAAP
  • Know the elements of the annual accounts
  • What are the different valuation methods allowed under Lux GAAP
  • In depth understanding of the valuation rules on assets and liabilities

Part II – IFRS vs Lux GAAP

  • What is IFRS as an organization
  • Comparison between IFRS and Lux GAAP
    • Valuation methods on assets and liabilities
    • Contents of the Financial Statements / Annual Accounts
