Javier Ruiz Lorente is a Senior Associate in the Finance & Capital Markets and Restructuring & Insolvency practices of Arendt & Medernach, dual qualified in Spain and Luxembourg. He specialises in financial restructurings, fund financing, real estate financing and acquisition finance, advising both sponsors and lenders as well as all kinds of funds on secured and unsecured lending, syndicated lending and asset finance transactions. Javier also advises on the enforcement of collateral and cross-border restructuring matters. He has a strong focus on finance transactions and restructurings concerning the Spanish market or involving Spanish stakeholders.
- Javier holds an LL.M. in Corporate Law from the Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain).
- He obtained a Double Degree in Law and International Relations from Esade Business & Law School (Spain).
- During his studies, Javier participated in law exchange programmes at the University of Minnesota (USA) and the National University of Singapore (Singapore).
- He has also completed a course in Advanced European Law at King’s College London (UK).
- Javier is a member of the Spanish Bar (2022) and the Luxembourg Bar (2023).
- Before joining Arendt & Medernach, he worked in the corporate finance team of an international law firm in Madrid (Spain).
