Arendt advised Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) on the Luxembourg legal aspects of the acquisition by CD&R of a 50% controlling stake of the Sanofi’s consumer healthcare business Opella for approximately 10 billion euros. Sanofi remains a significant shareholder with a 48.2% stake and the French State through Bpifrance owns a 1.8% stake.
