Ilaria worked in the investment funds cross-border distribution sector in Big Four Companies, providing regulatory advisory services to Luxembourg and foreign investment funds in their passporting, registration and cross border distribution before extending her role for two years as a Compliance Officer, where she provided compliance services to AIFs and UCITS funds, due diligence on funds’ service providers, provision of practical analysis of any legal/regulatory change, developed compliance monitoring tools, operational risk analysis, drafted and reviewed contracts/amendments, prepared and attended board of directors and shareholders general/extraordinary meetings, liaised with notaries, local authorities, banks and administrations.

She handles a series of large clients with worldwide distribution of multiple investment funds/classes and specialises in cross-border registration of UCITS and AIFs around the world as well as distribution matters in general. Ilaria is also an expert on funds marketing communications compliance, providing extended advice and support to a large panel of investment fund managers on governance, internal procedures and processes as well as on content requirements for marketing material.

Ilaria holds a bachelor’s degree in European Economics from the University of Milan (Italy) and a master's degree in International Economics and Finance from the same university. She completed her post-university studies attending in Luxembourg a specialisation course in Private Equity and Investment Funds.
