Anastasia Marie-Hontaas is a Director within the Regulatory & Consulting practice of Arendt.
She supports clients in setting up and reorganising their business in Luxembourg in the asset management industry. She gives advice in the field of company governance improvement and has in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance issues, especially with respect to clients managing AIFs and UCITS. She supports Compliance officers in the delivery of their compliance programmes.
In January 2024, Anastasia joined the expanded team of Arendt & Medernach’s representative office in Paris focusing on the development of relations with the French market.
- Anastasia holds a Master’s degree in Banking & Insurance with a focus on regulatory aspects of the financial sector, and is certified by the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF).
- She is an active member of the ALCO (Luxembourg association of compliance officers) since 2018 and also a member of several professional associations such as ILA (Institut Luxembourgeois des Administrateurs), ALFI (Association Luxembourgeoise des Fonds d’Investissement) and LPEA (Luxembourg Private Equity Association).
Before joining Arendt Regulatory & Consulting in 2012, she began her career working in the Compliance & AML/KYC department of a Luxembourg bank. She had previously acquired expertise as an intern in the Compliance and Risk departments of two French banks.
