General introduction to Investment Funds
Context
An investment fund or collective investment undertaking (UCI) is a financial structure which collects savings from several investors and commits to pursuing a specific investment strategy.
Luxembourg has been an attractive centre for the fund industry for three decades and is one of the largest investment fund centres in the world.
Objectives
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- understand the basic principles applicable to Luxembourg investment funds
- identify the main categories of undertakings for collective investment and their specific features.
