Stéphane Badey is a Partner at Arendt.
Stéphane is a seasoned regulatory expert within Arendt Regulatory & Consulting (ARC), where he leads initiatives to help management companies establish and grow their presence in Luxembourg. He specialises in designing consolidated and harmonised compliance and risk control frameworks that align with regulatory expectations and support clients in navigating complex and evolving regulations. With deep expertise in compliance and governance, Stéphane provides strategic guidance that strengthens internal structures, optimises operations and enhances stakeholder relationships across the financial sector. He is also a member of the Arendt ESG Steering Committee.
- Stéphane holds a Master’s in Private Law from the University of Burgundy, Dijon (France) and a DEA in Comparative Law from the same university. He also holds a Diploma in Legal Studies from the University of Manchester (UK) and has completed the cours complémentaires en droit luxembourgeois.
- He is an active member of ALFI, LPEA and EFAMA working groups on ESG.
- He is a member of the ESG LuxFLAG Label Eligibility Committee.
- Stéphane started his career in 1998 in the consulting practice of a Big Four firm, where he acquired extensive experience in regulatory and compliance matters in the fund management industry. He then joined a leading asset servicing bank, where he became Director Compliance Europe.
