Clément Welter is a Director in the Business & Tech Transformation practice of Arendt Regulatory & Consulting (ARC). He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, with a strong focus on investment management and asset servicing.

Prior to joining Arendt, Clément worked in a leading Big Four consulting firm, where he held senior leadership responsibilities on large consulting engagements for international financial institutions, contributed to the development of a digital regulatory managed services platform and drove cross-functional solution development initiatives.

Throughout his career as a management consultant within Big Four and international asset servicing environments, Clément has successfully delivered complex transformation programmes, including operating model design initiatives, process optimisation projects, remediation programmes and regulatory implementations. His expertise spans both advisory-led transformation engagements and the build-up, industrialisation and delivery of regulatory and operational managed services for global clients.

  • Clément holds a Master’s of Science with a major in Finance and Technology from NEOMA Business School (Reims, France).
  • He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

  • Clément built his professional experience within leading international consulting and global asset servicing institutions, where he provided services to asset managers, investment funds, management companies and financial intermediaries.
  • As a management consultant, he supported large-scale transformation engagements, including fund migrations between asset servicers, offshoring of fund administration activities and the implementation of end-to-end operating models. He also assisted clients in the implementation of regulatory-driven systems, notably in the areas of investment compliance, NAV oversight and regulatory reporting.
  • Clément has experience in conducting regulatory gap analysis and leading implementation initiatives under major European regulatory frameworks, including MiFID, AIFMD and SFDR, as well as internal audit and control-related assignments.
  • In managed services environments, Clément has been instrumental in the development and leadership of regulatory reporting and compliance-related services, and has also contributed to the expansion of managed services value propositions across multiple jurisdictions. His experience also includes leading cross-functional managed services solution development initiatives, onboarding large international clients across regulatory reporting, AML/KYC, tax compliance and fund distribution services, and acting as client lead for multi-service engagements.
