Amélie Woltrager is a Senior Associate in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach. She assists clients on the structuring, setting up and whole life cycle of regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds in Luxembourg and their underlying vehicles until liquidation. Her experience covers the various asset classes, notably real estate, infrastructure, private equity and multi-strategy. She also advises fund managers and investors on ongoing legal and regulatory developments impacting their local and cross-border operations, including matters arising under AIFMD and the various product laws in Luxembourg. Furthermore, Amélie has a particular focus on and experience in sustainability-related matters and advises clients on the design and implementation of sustainable investment strategies through their investment vehicles. She is also a member of working groups on sustainability in Luxembourg and European associations.

  • Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach, Amélie gained significant experience at a leading international law firm in Luxembourg, where she advised sponsors and fund managers on the structuring, setting up and management of real estate, infrastructure and private equity alternative investment funds and their underlying investments and advised investors on due diligence exercises.
  • She also developed strong expertise in SFDR and other regulatory matters and was a trusted advisor to family offices and private clients on day-to-day corporate, legal and regulatory issues for regulated and unregulated investment funds.
  • Prior to that, Amélie worked for over three years in the investment funds department of a global service provider in Luxembourg and as an intern at international law firms and at an aerospace and defence company in Paris and London.
