Living and working in France, Catherine Poncin continues to influence the contemporary photography scene with her innovative exploration of archives and her commitment to renewing our perception of the past through imagery.

The series of Catherine Poncin often take the form of diptychs or triptychs created from photographs which she rephotographs. This is the case with the series “Entre-Actes” which shows two images that are reactivated in a new dramaturgical configuration. By rephotographing archive images, she connects the present to the past, knowledge to memory, news to history.
