This article discusses the applicability of Luxembourg data protection law and key provisions of the Luxembourg Act, such as rules for processing special categories of personal data and criminal conviction and offense data, the age of child consent, limitations on the scope of data subjects’ rights, processing for journalistic purposes or artistic or literary expression, processing for archiving in the public interest, scientific or historical research, or statistical purposes, processing in the employment context, and provisions on electronic surveillance.
