Arendt & Medernach has the pleasure to announce the nomination of 5 new partners: Pierre-Michaël de Waersegger, Stéphane Karolczuk, Marc Mouton, Jan Neugebauer and Philippe Schmit.

Pierre-Michaël de Waersegger is a Partner in the Insurance & Reinsurance Law practice as well as in the Banking & Financial Services practice.
Pierre-Michaël assists insurance and reinsurance companies as well as banks and professionals of the financial sector regarding all Luxembourg legal and regulatory aspects of their activities, including licencing requirements, capitalizing opportunities, merger and acquisition operations, and new products and services development.
Stéphane Karolczuk is a Partner in the Investment Management Law practice and the Head of the Hong Kong office of Arendt & Medernach. Stephane advises clients based in the Asia Pacific region regarding their European projects and their Luxembourg legal and regulatory questions.
Marc Mouton is a Partner in the Banking & Financial Services practice.
Marc advises financial institutions such as banks, investment firms, payment institutions and electronic money institutions. He is an expert in financial regulatory matters, mergers and acquisitions in the financial sector, financial litigation and general banking law.
Jan Neugebauer is a Partner in the Tax Law practice.
Jan specialises in both national and international tax structuring for corporate entities and private investment funds, including private equity, buyout, real estate and debt funds. He advises on a broad range of issues including leveraged and management buyouts, secondary transactions, divestments and distributions, real estate transactions, M&A cross-border transactions and finance taxation (including refinancing and distressed debt work).
Philippe Schmit is a Partner in the Employment Law, Pensions & Benefits practice.
Philippe advises employers in the financial and industrial sectors on all aspects of the employment relationship (including its termination). Philippe also specialises in all matters related to restructuring and reorganisation, negotiation in the context of collective dismissals and collective bargaining procedures, as well as any other HR aspects triggered by corporate restructuring, including M&A (e.g. transfers of undertakings).
