Luxembourg fund structures: a very modern toolbox – The Lawyer – press article

Luxembourg is Europe’s most important cross-border investment funds domicile, both for mutual (UCITS) as well as for alternative investment funds (AIF). However, in a changing international, legal, regulatory and fiscal framework, it is a difficult balancing act to provide the international investment funds industry with the most solid structuring framework while keeping innovation at a steady pace.

In order to achieve this, Luxembourg has completed its fund structuring toolbox and is now ready for one of its most significant  evolutions: the creation of a new investment funds framework combining the strengths of the SIF and SICAR regimes and permitting a further combination with the modernised limited partnership forms under a new acronym – the RAIF (reserved alternative investment fund).

Discover this new regime – the RAIF – by reading the following press article written by our Partners Claude Niedner and Gilles Dusemon and our Associate Claudia Hoffmann inThe Lawyer this month.
