Arendt is pleased to invite you to attend a webinar organised in collaboration with Finance & Human Rights asbl, entitled "Looking past the E: mandatory human rights due diligence in finance". The webinar will take place on Wednesday 24 February 2021 at 5:00 pm CET.

Following its in-depth treatment of the environmental pillar of ESG, the EU Commission is now focusing on the social dimension, and particularly on human rights.

Alongside the sustainable finance agenda introduced with the SFDR, we expect to see proposals during the second quarter of 2021 for a label and a social taxonomy, as well as a new directive on sustainable governance, including a mandatory human rights due diligence.

During this session, our experts will present the regulatory backdrop, provide guidance on good governance practices from the perspective of a financial market participant, and give some practical information about what human rights due diligence will entail.

Feel free to forward this invitation to any colleagues or clients who may be interested in attending.

Should you have any questions, please contact events@arendt.com

We look forward to seeing you there (virtually).
