This training aims at assisting you to:

  • become familiar with the VAT test procedure
  • learn how to best deal with a VAT test by the Registry of Luxembourg, with a focus on the financial sector (investment funds, holdings, SPVs, banks, securitisation vehicles etc)
  • anticipate traditional problems with VAT in relation to finance
  • become aware of the means of recourse

  • Taxable transactions test
  • Exempt transactions test
  • Intra-community transaction test
  • Property transaction test
  • Cases of re-invoicing
  • Test of deductions by mixed or partial taxable persons
  • Invoicing errors
  • Verification of rates
  • Compliance with the rules of self-liquidation (on purchase and sale)
  • VAT declarations test and reconciliation with the accountancy department
  • Discontinuation tests
  • Etc.
