Laurie Mamane is a Senior Associate in the Investment Management practice at Arendt & Medernach. Her practice focuses on alternative investment fund vehicles and their managers (AIFMs), addressing all relevant legal and regulatory matters.
She advises international clients on the structuring, set-up, organisation and ongoing assistance of investment vehicles in the real estate, private equity, venture capital, private debt and infrastructure asset classes (for both regulated and unregulated investment vehicles).
Laurie also regularly advises international institutional clients on the formation of joint ventures, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions. She joined Arendt & Medernach in 2015 and has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since then.
Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach, she obtained her LL.M. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York (USA) and worked for a year at a Manhattan-based law firm, where she focused on private equity and real estate law.
Laurie has been a French-qualified lawyer since 2013, after earning a Bachelor’s with a specialisation in Corporate Law, a Master 1 in Business Law and a Master 2 for Business Attorneys in a bilingual French-English programme from the University of Paris Sud (France). She also holds a Law and Strategy certificate from EDHEC Business School (France) and was admitted to an exchange programme focusing on Quebec Business Law at the University of Montreal (Canada).
Laurie was seconded to the New York Office of Arendt & Medernach from 2019 to 2020.
