Senior Associate

Emiliano Canali is a Senior Associate in the Investment Management practice of Arendt & Medernach.

He specialises in the structuring, formation and organisation of regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds (AIFs), including private equity and real estate funds, hedge funds and debt funds, as well as undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS). His area of expertise also encompasses AIFs investing in exotic asset classes related to digital industries.

Emiliano advises domestic and international clients on the regulatory, corporate and organisational aspects of the formation, development and restructuring of AIFs and UCITS.

He has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar as an avocat à la Cour since 2016, and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 2013.

Prior to joining Arendt & Medernach, Emiliano practiced for several years with an Italian law firm, and spent some time with the Legal Service of the European Parliament.

He holds a Master's degree in Business Law from the University of Pisa (Italy) and an LL.M. in European Law from the University of Maastricht (the Netherlands). Emiliano has also earned the Luxembourg bar qualification certificate (C.C.D.L.).
