This year, the European Month of Photography introduces "Memory Lab: Photography Challenges History". The artists were concerned with recalling the painful events and aftermaths of the major European conflicts that marked the twentieth century.

Tatiana Lecomte is the winner of the "European Month of Photography Arendt Award" 2015. She has been recognised for her accuracy in combining a modern photographic approach with the topic of history.

The European Month of Photography was created in 2004 organised by the European House of Photography (Maison Européenne de la Photographie - MEP) in Paris and its director Jean-Luc Monterosso. It is a network of institutions dealing with photography located in eight European capitals (Athens, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Luxembourg, Paris, Vienna).
