On Friday 20 November was celebrated the 2015 Edward Steichen Award at MUDAM Luxembourg, in the presence of Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess, and the Minister of Culture, Maggy Nagel. Belgian photographer Max Pinckers won the 6th Edward Steichen Award Laureate, and Luxembourg artist Jeff Weber won the 3rd Edward Steichen Luxembourg Resident in New York.
The Edward Steichen Award Luxembourg is a biennial incentive supporting emerging European talents in the field of contemporary art. Since 2005, 5 photographers have received the award, including Sophie Jung whose work is on view at Arendt & Medernach premises.
The Edward Steichen Award receives the support of the Luxembourg Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs, and of historical partners including Arendt & Medernach.
