Derivatives Conference - 22 may 2017

EMIR has become an important factor potentially affecting all (EU) market participants entering into derivative transactions. The application of thenew margin exchange obligations, which for most market participants started on 1 March 2017 (also referred to as the “Big Bang”), appears to us to be a good opportunity to provide an overview of recent experiences and current issues in relation to EMIR.

We are pleased to announce the conference on EMIR which will take place on 22 May 2017 in the auditorium of Arendt House.

EMIR has become an important factor potentially affecting all (EU) market participants entering into derivative transactions. The application of the new margin exchange obligations appears to us to be a good opportunity to provide an overview of recent experiences and current issues in relation to EMIR. As the market is going through unprecedented change, we will discuss the impacts of the changes so far and how much further that is likely to go, in particular in the light of the political uncertainty in Europe, the Brexit discussion and potential changes in the global regulatory agenda.
