The EFAMA investment management forum 2016, will take place in Bruxelles the 16 and 17 November.

​Whilst adapting to the historical circumstances in which the EU finds itself after the UK vote, the European asset management industry stands ready to continue to support the EU project and the Commission’s objectives underlying the Capital Markets Union: filling the financing gaps, making the funds passport more effective, facilitating the cross-border operation of investment funds or developing a pan-European personal pension product (PEPP).

An important part of the Forum will be dedicated to global matters such as those driven by the FSB and IOSCO as well as trends and developments in Asia and the U.S. We want to continue the constructive dialogue with central bankers and regulators about the distinctive features of our business model. We will also tap into market liquidity and existing concerns that liquidity has become more fragmented, and with what tools (market-based and regulatory) asset managers would be able to cope with any potential market liquidity concerns.

It will be a point in time for industry and institutional experts to discuss where concerns by markets and regulators converge and diverge.
