Arendt’s dedicated risk and compliance department is charged with monitoring any compliance risk that could affect the firm, including all threats to Arendt’s financial, organisational and reputational standing, and ensuring constant compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, codes of conduct or practice standards.
The risk and compliance department consists of two teams:
- Our know-your-customer anti-money laundering and financing of terrorism team performs due diligence before a client can be accepted by Arendt. This team also identifies and monitors AML and terrorism financing risks using a range of internal and external databases, including from Dow Jones. Our current team boasts a total of more than 50 years of experience between them in these areas.
- Our risk team monitors other compliance risk areas such as confidentiality, conflicts of interest, market abuse, corruption, business continuity and data privacy, and plays a key role in handling audits by our clients.
