Business Development Officer (medior)
Based in Kirchberg
The Business Development (BD) team is dedicated to implementing our go-to-market strategy. Initially focussing on our Industry Groups but also closely working together with our Product Groups and Geography Groups. The BD team plays a pivotal role in driving client activity and cross selling. Working closely together with our Marketing & Communications and CRM team, the BD team also plays an important role in coordinating efforts to further enhance our market positioning and commercial data, supporting product development and maintaining internal engagement & information-sharing regarding our go-to-market strategy.
The ideal candidate may already be working in a BD or Marketing role within a legal or professional services environment. You may have a Fund or Financial Services background as many of our clients are active within these industries.
You will join a successful team, working alongside BD Leads, BD Officers and reporting into the BD Team Manager and the Director of Markets & Services.
Some key elements of your role (not limitative):
- Working closely with the Partners, the dedicated BD Lead, other BD officers, CRM and Marketing & Communication colleagues for our Industry Groups Banking Finance & Insurance, Private Clients and UCITS/Liquid Alternatives
- In a broad sense, supporting and coordinating the further implementation of our go-to-market strategy for the specified Industry Groups that requires the full spectrum of our capabilities within our team and understanding of/collaboration with Product Groups and Geography Groups
- Supporting account management for selected priority clients in the designated industries where for some clients you will be in a position to lead this process
- Responding to client requests for proposals, tenders and presentations
- Supporting and sometimes leading specific BD activities for a selection of our Geography Groups
- Helping to shape the yearly Industry Group BD & Marketing plan and supporting its successful execution, regularly taking a coordinating/leading role on a number of initiatives in close collaboration with BD, Marketing and CRM colleagues
- Making sure commercial data and distribution lists for the designated Industry Groups are cared for, protected, and regularly replenished in close collaboration with the CRM team
- Assisting with required Industry specific market analysis and research
- Supporting and regularly participating in periodic planning, review and follow-up meetings with Industry Group Steering Committees and other stakeholders.
Your profile:
- You hold at least a bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a Business Development or Marketing role, ideally gained in a law firm, in the professional services industry or in the Fund or Financial Institution industries
- You are organized, communicative, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- You are a self-starter that can handle the pressure of dealing with multiple projects and responsibilities
- You have a strong command of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, and experience in successfully managing RFPs and client proposals & presentations
- You are ambitious, strongly interested in our business and eager to make a tangible contribution to the progress of our firm and our team
- You are fluent in English both written and spoken. Any other language (French, German, Luxembourgish) is considered an asset.
